Woa, AJ!
Shame it's not on terrestrial TV.
It's a shame but it's the nature of the sport nowerdays unfortunately. If the BBC had the rights to Fury v Joshua they'd get 20m viewers comfortably. A unification heavyweight title fight would be one of the single biggest sporting events the country has ever hosted.
Just what we needed for some blockbuster fights next year!
Clearly impressive skillset from Joshua, but why not show a ruthless streak and finish him off in the 3rd or 4th??
About time he fought Fury, and while it will be a great encounter, Fury is the favourite for me

Maybe scared of getting gassed? Pulev moved pretty good in the early rounds.
After what happened with Ruiz I thought it was a mature decision to not go for the knockout and conserve energy, he never looked in trouble so why take the risk?
Fury was clear favourite before that fight, but that performance made me think not only will Fury win, but it's a formality now. Joshua switched off too much, got caught by silly shots, and looked out of breath on occasion.
Job done tonight by Joshua and a step closer to the Fury fight. Yes, Pulev was clearly not in optimal condition but he can only beat what's in front of him. A good night for British boxing.
You having a laugh? Pulev was in the shape of his life lol
Great result for AJ... next stop Tyson
Can only beat what's in front of you, i.e. the mandatory contender. Can't wait for the battle of Britain, bring it on!
Well done AJ
Really good movement, calm and effective punching. Pulev gave you a good fight but you showed your quality.
What a knock out.
Take a bow.

I totally agree. I don't really understand why some are criticising Joshua's performance. He didn't force it and leave himself open - which is what he used to do. He's improved his head movement and showed greater patience and maturity. If he'd gone all out early on and got clipped, everyone would've said he should've been more patient.

Theres always one..
In same way Sunderland are in a different league to Liverpool
Proof that the only reason people love Fury is politics. You're a cult
Past his best. Joshua seems confused as to the kind of fighter he wants to be. But he's no longer the seek and destroy power puncher of pre-Wlad, that was further diluted by the Ruiz embarrassment. If he boxes with the same lack of clarity against Fury, he will be dismantled. Joshua isn't the boxer he was and will never be the boxer he hoped to be...
Accurate
Overall very average performance from Joshua. He looked good at times but then switched off far too much. Pulev was not that great, Joshua ended up making that really hard for himself.
He fights like that again forget about even getting passed 6 rounds Vs Fury.

Would love to have known what Pulev said to AJ at the end of the fight. Fear it won't be easy to set up the Fury fight. Would love to see it though.
Masterclass!?? Well, did you at least enjoy watching your 1st boxing fight?

Brilliant, measured performance and what a stoppage! I think i'm probably alone in wanting to see Joshua fight Wilder rather than Fury. I still don't think Joshua has enough ring craft to beat Fury and a match with Wilder would be a more exciting fight.
I agree. Joshua Vs Wilder is more intriguing as both guys can bang but both have a few weaknesses. Wilder doesn't move as well as Joshua, but Joshua has a much weaker chin than Wilder. It could go either way, whereas Fury Vs Joshua seems more like a Fury coronation rather than a fight.
He won't lay a glove on Fury who is a class above.

Yes Big Fem! One of the nicest guys in boxing and a great champion.
And taking the knee isn't politics. I see cancel culture as total politics.
AJ actually looking like a world champion. But got to give pulev credit made a real fight of it and gave us all our money's worth. Won't be an easy fight for fury and tbh from what I can see AJ has the best chance of beating him out of anyone else. MAKE THE FIGHT! !!
Brutal again from AJ.
Once any opponents legs show any sign of wobble, in he comes and hammers them. A proper finisher.
Beautiful straight right hand to put an end to that big mouth standing infront of him.

He didn't though, he eased off and lost a wee bit of concentration in the mid rounds. It was stop start from him.
For the good of boxing Fury v Joshua can not be held off any longer.
AJ was dominant, never looked in trouble,
as for people saying why not go for it after round 3.......
they were the same people saying he got cocky after knocking Ruiz down in round 3

That's a problem though. Guys like Lennox, Iron Mike and Vitali could put a guy away quickly when he was hurt by using intelligent aggression.
Joshua eases off because he defaults to wreckless aggression too easily. He can't do intelligent aggression very well. It's still a weakness for him

AJ will do well to avoid Fury, to make as much money as he can before, cos it'll be panto after.
I have no idea who on earth thinks that performance means Joshua beats Fury. Yes he was in control mostly, but seemed to tire at points, switched off, and let Pulev (who was clearly out of his depth) hit him with silly shots.
I don't think Joshua thinks he can beat Fury, so unless it's silly money he will likely avoid it.

Tyson - don't even bother you dosser
Good parts, bad parts, likes the hollywood uppercuts,a smart fighter steps back and hits in with a left hook as he goes for the third one on the trott.starting to think he's a boxer than he is,still top level fighter though but fury wins for me,also runs out of steam after round 5

I feel like I'm one of the few that likes both AJ and Fury and am just happy that the 2 best in the division are British.
May the best man win, which I would suspect is Fury but who knows.

No, same here. Fury had the best boxing mind& tech, but Joshua the best boxing physique. Their stories are so different but both very interesting...
Can’t wait...most interesting match up since Lewis-Tyson...

Interesting match up. I think the puncher (AJ) out boxes the boxer (Fury). AJ is no wilder, AJ has ring craft and boxing IQ - and can bang.
Well done AJ

I enjoyed the fight. First few rounds was getting distance and figuring out Pulev movement. AJ moved quite freely, was good to see.
Pulev got up twice in round 3. AJ was right to not gas himself as Pulev is a hard nut fighter and was eating shots.
AJ waited for Pulev to tire and that uppercut after jab was brilliant.

Totally, people just cant wait to complain at something. If Joshua blitzed Pulev out in the third, people would moan at Pulev not being good enough. To beat Fury, he has to combine boxing patience with power, otherwise Fury dances his way to a easy win.
He was too careful though. That can end up being as bad as being too careless. Against Fury he won't get many chances, and if he's too respectful to take them, he will really struggle.
Boom! ??
So called boxing experts criticising Joshua for not finishing it in the 4th ....if he had gone gung ho to finish it off and had got caught....the same experts would been telling Joshua he needs to be more patient....just fickle.
Not necessarily. Being too careful can be as dangerous as being too careless for AJ.
Against Fury, he won't get many chances. If he is being too respectful to take them, it will end badly.

Agree
My first thought was that AJ lacked the killer instinct in the 4th. After the 3rd round demolition he and his corner must have known that they were not going to lose the fight (barring a lottery-winning-odds miracle). For me, it then becomes a platform to show what you can do and dominate. Fury will love that AJ performance and fancy the job. Honestly, I'm backing Fury too...
Good performance, given that AJ was out for a year. Fury is probably rubbing his hands over this though.
Agreed. Nothing he did tonight there would worry Fury. In fact it would definitely encourage him.
I don't think AJ wants to fight Fury.

AJ' next job is to find a way to avoid Fury.
Had the power to stop his opponent but seemed unsure as to his tactics at times. A more powerful opponent would have looked to capitalise in these moments. Best fight for AJ now would undoubtedly be Fury.
A bit more money for Joshua to go spend in his friends shops
Top lad. The heavyweight champion of the world, British Olympic gold medalist. Pride of Britain.
Has everyone forgotten what a huge racist Joshua is? Let's hope Fury boxes his ears off.
Surely he can't be. If ya know what I mean.
What happened to Pulevs jab? That was his best hope. AJ could have ended that earlier. I like Rob McCracken but he can be over cautious at times which holds back his fighter (did it with Froch vs Abraham).
Anyway why is Hughie Fury a heavyweight he could rule the cruiserweight division, he’s just too small/light for heavyweight division.

Fury undisputed 2021. Factinion.

Joshua should've ended in round 3.
Fury won't be as giving.

“abstain from spending your money in their shops and economies and invest in black-owned businesses.” Tyson called him out for that, saying imagine if he said don’t shop in black or Asian owned stores, Tyson is going to give Joshua and absolute hiding. Joshua does not want to fight Fury, because he knows what’s coming
And fury was ok to call out gays?
Give over
Give over
BTW, that’s a direct quote from Joshua at a BLM meeting that Fury called him out on, sorry if it’s an inconvenient truth to some on here. Imagine if Fury had said that, everyone spamming the downvote button on my post would be up in arms. Things work two ways people. Fury will stop Joshua in 5, take that to the bank
Saw nothing again tonight to change my mind.
Fury every time.
Fury every time.
Take ur rose tinted glasses off??
Good win for AJ against a limited Pulev. Fury still the best in the division by some distance and beats AJ easily if they fight.
Adore the double standards of the BBC, legacy MSM and his fans ignoring Joshua's racism. Be it this year when he called for racial discrimination against white businesses or 2017 when he spoke of the "superior black race".
He is a racist. Removed

so many AJ haters out there it’s embarrassing everyone expects him to KO his in opponent within a second then repeatedly slag him round after round, end of the day he got the job done to set up that massive fight next year... Steve bunce is an awful pundit does nothing but hate on AJ and I don’t know why. Well done AJ still undisputed.

I just want to know what Pulev said to AJ after the fight that got him so riled up!
Pulev probably said that Fury is going to kick his ass , and that he has nothing that can trouble the Gypsy King
No matter what people say of how coo AJ wants to look we all know that Fury is in AJ's head and has been for a long time
Fury will beat AJ in the build up to the fight before a punch is even thrown.

Disagree with some comments. Think it’s hard to fault AJs performance. Could he have tried more to end fight in round 3/4? Maybe, but let’s not forget how many flush punches, especially uppercuts, Pulev took and was still dangerous till end so credit to him. I saw it as right balance of patience and selective aggression by AJ, which is a lesson learnt from Ruiz loss. AJ vs Fury tough to call
