To give teachers "a break" from identifying potential Covid-19 cases, schools can have an inset day.

A disgrace. Why do they need "a break" they had half the year working from home sending out the odd bitesize url to justify a full time wage with teachers unions acting in a vile way to keep members out of work and delaying progress throughout. How about key/care workers and NHS staff get "a break" for all their hard work throughout this.

Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Civil Servants, Social Workers, and primarily Teachers always seem to get a bashing from the right wing press and their knuckle dragging devotees. Time to back off and give these extremely hard working people a break.

I was right the teacher bashing has started. When no one wants to be a teacher because all they get is a bashing on HYS and elsewhere. Who will teach the children then? The other problem is that everyone has been to school ( but the evidence is thin judging HYS) and assumes that they are experts!

Becareful Mr Gove does not like experts!

Those who can't teach, slag off teachers on the internet.

Lot' of posts by teachers feeling sorry for themselves for being hated, and saying they didn't ask for this. But looky here:

"A single day is better than nothing..."

They were actually asking for far more.

This is why so many people hate teachers. It's the denial and blatant dishonesty that they hate most of all.

Sorry, but teaching in the UK is a complete joke.
