Sherbert, you are a bit of an ill-informed nincompoop. Do you not realise that the EU are being seen in the eyes of the world to be vindictive and ideologically driven. It is the actions of our Gov which have shown them up for what they are - a bunch of undemocratic bullies. Never mind, as a remainer I suppose I should not expect too much intelligence.

When you go to NI, customs be like, "Getchyer bag on da grewnd for da sniffer dogs, yoy, no, loyer dan dat, on da grewd, get dewn on da grewnd, hands behind yer beck"

You hardly notice there's a border at all.

Brexit hasn't never been a good idea but it has hapened. I wouldn't be surpirsed if there are more compromises found over next few days Now, Deal or no deal, the earth will still be rotating, the businesses will still do business. We will still get the food and life will go on.

Before anyone has a go at me, I will admit that I am no expert but I am allowed an opinion, I guess.

At least the Remainers have a brain cell. You Brextremists are powered by the methane from your own rotting dead brains. You people are pathetic. Admit Brexit is already a failure. You've been conned by the biggest, richest, most elite metropolitan liars in the UK because you thought they wanted to help the common man! That makes you stupid. Removed

I seem to remember Boris and all the deluded Brexiters saying that the EU needed us more than we needed them and that a deal would be so easy. Many people bought that story, particularly My Mum who asked me whether Australia was part of the EU. For the record she does not have dementia, she just voted for Brexit.

I still think it's a good opportunity for the Rep. of Ireland to offer good terms to the North for reunification. I've always thought that the "Unionists" in NI believed in being part of the UK as it was better to be ruled from Westminster rather than (as they may see it) Rome, but it'll end up being governed from Brussels, so they should try to move to become a self-governing province within Eire
Reunification? When was Ireland ever united except as part of the UK? The ROI gained independence 100 years ago, hate England even though more Irish live there than in the South, and have sold out there "Free State" to join an EU superstate. And I don't see ROI wanting a million red-neck unionists into their fold either. Removed

If Brexit is a stunning success why would he want to change it, if it is a mess then once it becomes so he should state his position.

You’re missing the point. Ireland is a republic, with a written Constitution. Its course is determined by its people. It is one EU member state amongst 27, many of which are also small countries reaping the benefits of collaboration. Belgium doesn’t rule the EU. The presidency of the EU rotates. Each country holds it in turn for 6 months. Did you not notice all those Eurocrats around London?
