The tournament is now lacking Mark Williams, who is one of only 3 men to win all 3 big ones in the same season, and he also secured the World Open the same year, the "LG Cup", which was broadcast on the BBC in what was termed the "BBC slam". Simply the greatest player of all time and I'm not interested in watching the rest of the event. I'll wait until Mark Williams returns.

Robertson playing well but he is prone to crumble under pressure. Trump probably the best potter ever and the only player to have destroyed Ronnie on a number of occasions now. Ronnie is the best player and if anyone play’s snooker they know that’s true, like him or not.

This tourney, like all bar the Crucible is still a joke. Triple Crown, my eye! Best of eleven with a best of nineteen final is a joke. The best players are barely warming up by then.

The Masters is even more ludicrous. An invitational? Best of eleven until a best of nineteen final? We play that down the Legion.

Trump in yet another final. Give the lad some credit, he's on fire these days. I honestly think he's got that mentality now where he believes he will win every tournament he enters. Robertson will have to be at his very best to trouble Judd. Yes they play more tournaments these days but look where these two sites on the centuries made table.
They are both a bit special and take on and make shots that most players would not have considered 10 years ago.
It's a different game now and no matter where on the table make a mistake and the frame could be over.

Both class player's but I dunno.. being an Englishman I would actually back Robertson's corner as I think he's just a really down to earth and likable character who I can relate to more. He'll go home after and play on his computer with his kids regardless if he win's or loses where as Trump will be dragging his poor old brother to practice telling him to fetch his balls out the pocket.

Robertson playing well but he is prone to crumble under pressure. Trump probably the best potter ever and the only player to have destroyed Ronnie on a number of occasions now. Ronnie is the best player and if anyone play’s snooker they know that’s true, like him or not.
Will be a good final if it’s Judd vs Neil.

May be best player win but I'm learning towards Robertson as I don't think trump has been at his best this week a lot of unforced errors that's he's gotten away with I just think it's one tournament too far for him like he said yesterday he is very tired but it's sport and he could bring his A game to the table a deciding frame would be nice ??

This tourney, like all bar the Crucible is still a joke. Triple Crown, my eye! Best of eleven with a best of nineteen final is a joke. The best players are barely warming up by then.

The Masters is even more ludicrous. An invitational? Best of eleven until a best of nineteen final? We play that down the Legion.

Why is there the constant need by commentators to say Judd Trump is world

Trump and Robertson are playing exceptionally well at the moment. It's a pity they didn’t play like this at last year's World Championship. That has to go down as one of the poorest Championships ever. The standard was absolutely abysmal, from the start, right through to the finish. I wish it had been cancelled because of Covid.

Robertson and Trump have been the most consistent players for a while now, and are both in good form. They're the only players who you wouldn't be surprised to beat O'Sullivan.

It will be close, but I think (and hope) Robertson will win. Trump has matured a lot in the last 2 years but still shows slight weakness when under pressure towards the end of matches.

10-8 Robertson, I reckon.

Hoping for a close contest. Both players capable of making big breaks. I would like to see Robertson pinch it, but Trump is a hard player to beat these days.
Trump has been far from his best so far in the tournament, but still head and shoulders above the rest. Robertson has under achieved in recent years but has found some good form of late. I reckon he will win 10-8.

Yes, it was the most dramatic frame ever. I watched it live, but it was also full of some of the worst snooker, probably ever as well. McGill missed a snooker 8 times in a row. It only ended because he was at the snookers required stage.

I see we have the usual sprinkling of tiresome non-snooker-fans in. The "My favourite isn't in it any more so I'm not watching" fanboys.

Personally, I have a few favourite players, but above all I enjoy watching the game - whoever is playing, and however bloody miserable they look.

Trump v Robertson should be a gripping final unless one of them has an off-day.
