Pivac has blooded new players this autumn so while it’s disappointing to lose games he’s now got a better pool of players to look at for the 6 nations and beyond...

LRZ is class, the Blues flankers SLH & Botham are superb and maybe best of all Callum Sheedy is test ready and a genuine option over Biggar.

Hardy has his chance to oust Davies & Webb but Tomos Williams will be back...

And add to that Bashaim, Griffiths, Conbeer, Stefan Hughes, Dan Davis and talk to Tommy Refell if interested in playing for Wales. And others not due to injury like Owen Lane.... the squad and depth get stronger. But what style and increase physicality ?

Seemed more like a sucker punch based on the speed of reply delivery. The way the welsh squad is developing both numerically and in terms of quality one wonders just how many accolades await.

In theory Wales should beat Italy fairly comfortably but it's been quite wet and I suspect that we might see another error strewn performance by both sides. That should hopefully create some open play for both teams.

The Italian pack as ever are very strong and Wales will need to get on top of that if they're to score freely!

Pivac really needs a win now. Hope he can win, or lose, gracefully!

Yay, another dawn of a golden era for Wales. Seems like only yesterday they were the team who had forgotten how to lose.
Just a question, with Ireland playing Scotland, why will their fans be cheering Wales on? Thinking back to the 6N some of the Scottish fans were cheering on the Azurri against you!

Maybe...but in the development cycle it's a time for humility rather than predicting future triumphs.

There are clearly some players with great potential. Perhaps though this is the time to pension off some of the very old regulars, otherwise those youngsters will never get a chance to shine in time for 2023.

These kids are future winners. The question is...can they win AND score more points?

Last night Bristol v Northampton the ref was immense. He started counting down loudly and forced the 9 to use it. Game was amazing for it.

Yeah, if the refs force players to play faster the coaches will have to train them to do it. Perhaps the whole idea of a tactical bench will be justified if players are tired from running rather than contact.

As long as Jonathan Davies is not included in the line-up we have a chance to win games. He has got to be the worst centre ever played for Wales. He cannot pass a ball right to left . He cannot tackle either ; watch him, he plays touch rugby and bridges when someone else makes the tackle. Also, he always jumps out of the line and leaves the outside available to the attacker

Hogg has lost us more games with basic errors than he has won us with brilliance. Both unfortunately are equally memorable. Like the scotland team of 5 years ago, he needs to learn the basics, then he can show his qualities. The basics come first. Basics like concentration, holding the ball, finding touch, etc. Finn has started to do this and is much more reliable. Hogg needs to do the same.

Stick to the round ball game if you have no genuine interest in rugby. True supporters can appreciate the sport irrespective of which team is playing or whatever level it is played at.

Pivac has been taking advice from Steve Hansen about how to cope with the pressure of being expected to win every week- he's clearly handling it well and Wales are dominating world rugby

point is Georgia have every reason to be pleased with what they’ve shown.

questions raised are
1) how much more can they close the gap to T1 without regular T1 competitive games
2) how much more are they required to close the gap before they’re given a clear path to playoff for a 6/7N spot ?
3) if a 6N side slides to such a degree a T2 pose a real threat should their 6N place be protected?

I’ve heard it all before with Italy and the clamour for their inclusion to 6N.

That’s worked out well hasn’t it?

Before Italy it was Romania, where are they now?

Some sides fleetingly impress then fall away.

Georgia are just flavour of the month right now.

Seems Johnny Williams is out for Wales due to a calf injury. JD comes in. Is he truly match fit?
Shame for Williams he’s looked good for Wales. Hope they get their wings into the game. As an England fan I feel tomorrow’s game against France is pointless. 25 French players back to Top14 as per agreement. Somewhat farcical. Anyway good luck Wales.

Agree on all counts. Would have liked to see Johnny Williams get a game where he’s not just defending the whole time.

It is a real shame that France won’t play its best team tomorrow but we’ll see what their depth is like.

Hogg and Finn are peas in a pod; they have flashes of brilliance but can’t do the basics well enough. Rugby is a percentage game, which is why Scotland is on the losing team more often than not.

So who is your best defensive full back 8 from 8 ?? Hogg like all fullbacks misses tackles , even the great JPR did !! Think you have Liam Williamitis or Leigh Halpennyitis like Warren but enjoy tonight ,wee man , your magnificent victory under Wayne against the “”worst team “” in Europe . Would quite clearly be a nightmare for you if Saint Gatland picked Hoggy before Williams and Halfpenny .

Hog has always done one good thing and 10 bad things in a game. its only a Flashy Shane Williams style run that makes him stand out. these runs however normally lead to another cockup. I personally have always thought he is more of a liability for Scotland and Exeter
