The game has little or not chance of moving to a free flowing style as long as dinosaurs like the English Rugby Union hold so much power. The needy arrogance of calling themselves 'THE Rugby Football Union' speaks volumes of the English 'right to entitlement' attitude. It unapologetically enforces the the antiquated ideology of being the masters and in charge.
Poopoo! Someone must have moved the rock you've been hiding under. Been a while since you've darkened these HYS. Removed

Change the laws or ban England from international competition? Both will work but I think banning England will be the better long term solution as they are the ones continually bending the rules.
But then your sole purpose for living will have gone. That massive amount of bile you have has to be relieved somewhere otherwise you'll explode in a putrid mess.
Not a bad thing some might say. Not me though...

Apologies if this has been said already. Is Dawson thick? Stop the clock for scrums, and they could go on interminably. No incentive for players to act within the laws; no incentive for referee to make a decision, e. g. Penalty/free kick.
When I reffed my policy was whack them hard in the first ten minutes, and send a message. It works, at any level. For those intellectually-challenged-yellow card

Is it?? More people in Japan watched Japan vs SA at the RWC than watched the last entire RL world cup,
And? We’re discussing the Union game and its problems. Your point is more about economic and socio/political power. Pull your frock down, your inferiority slip is showing sweetheart. Removed

Stop tinkering with the laws of the game in an effort to attract the casual fan who wants instant excitement and can't be bothered to learn the nuances of the game. I follow most team sports and it seems to be the same obsession in all off them, change the rules to give undue advantage to the attacking team so that more goals, points, runs are scored, so that allegedly, more fans will be attracted
As Jim Royle might put it, “Nuances my arse!” You are either playing within the Laws or outside them. Your ‘nuance’ assertion is little more than an historical myth designed to generate an air of superiority over others. Get over yourself, girl. Removed

Morning ..... no wonder children are losing interest in the game, if they were to go around the playground buttttting each other then there would be consequences. It is not good for rugby but Steve D disagrees so that is the end of the debate. I do feel sorry for these youngsters it must be so difficult to understand right from wrong.

"Only man alive that did though"

Wrong, and not for the first time either.
Sorry Gobby, only non-Englishman, obviously.
Just can't work up the stones or humility to admit that it was a poor performance by Poite who made up his mind early and didn't deviate once.
Should be embarrassed mate.

Its precisely because the scrum was officiated fairly that Wales didn't have parity.
Nothing impartial about it Gobby, Embarrassing that you can't admit it. But it's to be expected, guess it's what comes with your sense of entitlement. Removed
