Fantastic match, the momentum was back-and-forth all game long, and probably the right winner in the end. What a great success story Exeter are.

Thank you so much to Channel 4 for securing the rights to broadcast the game on terrestrial television. Those of us without Sky appreciate it.

Totally agree. Without any fans at the ground, if all we had were subscribers to watch the game, then that would have been a real shame. In these difficult times, to be able to see 'Live' sport is superb and what a great game we had, 2 great sides hammering away and giving it all they had.

Honest Abe, even if in your undoubtedly qualified opinion it WAS a penalty try, it would have been cancelled out by the try that WAS wrongly awarded to Racing to make it 28-24, as the Racing prop was in front of the hooker who scored & blocked 3 Chiefs players from making the tackle.
Better team won.

Referees have very little discretion with deliberate knock-ons. The WR guidelines say that in the red zone the protocol should always be "yellow, consider penalty try". I think a card is too harsh a sanction for what is almost always not actually deliberate, just an effort to play the ball; in such circumstances, players have almost no time to think and then control their limbs.

Dominic, Nigel was asking the wrong question to the fourth official - because, while the clock showed there were seconds left, he didn’t realize the clock hadn’t been restarted properly, and the match should have been over. So the fourth official had to explain why the clock should be disregarded in this instance - which Nigel accepted once he heard the explanation.

Does anybody actually enjoy watching Exeter play? I mean actually enjoy it? Rugby at its best can be a beautiful game, balanced between powerful forwards and backs with flair and speed. Pounding away at the line from 5 metres for 3/4 of the game is just dull and painful.
