Exeter with the usual 1-dimensional English stuff. At least Russell tried to bring some flair and creativity to the game. R92 should have had a penalty try from Francis deliberate knock on. Better team lost.

Owens is just so biased towards English sides. The “penalty” Hidalgo-Clyne won should have been penalty to R92 for side entry. Several acts of foul play by Exeter missed by officials and no penalty try for deliberate knock on. I can only imagine that the money men of the RFU are behind this.

He's had 4 down votes, but it's a really good point. What Exeter have done is beyond belief, but if other teams decide that this 'style' is the blueprint for success, then rugby will have a massive problem very soon.

Maybe. But, possibly with the exception of this match, Exeter execute their 'style' with necessary precision to make it effective which other teams do not seem to be able to do. In any case, if all teams start to play in a similar way, one team or another will find an alternative style of play that gives a winning advantage.

Does anybody actually enjoy watching Exeter play? I mean actually enjoy it? Rugby at its best can be a beautiful game, balanced between powerful forwards and backs with flair and speed. Pounding away at the line from 5 metres for 3/4 of the game is just dull and painful. I guess we've just got used to this as what pro rugby has become but it's dreary fare and not far removed from rugby league :(

Poor quality refereeing presiding over a poor quality match. Will go down as the most forgettable ECC final in a very long time when compared to some of the other finals over the last few years, last year's being a good example. A far better job than Jones? Under Jones England have won two 6N titles (will probably win the 2020 one too) including a GS, and got to a RWC final beating Oz and NZ on the way.

Could Baxter really have achieved any more than that in 4 years?

Great result: well done to the Chiefs, who deserve this completely. It's a bit of a fairy story of rags to riches.
But I have one question: why have England never approached Rob Baxter to coach the England team?
