First! Jordan for GOAT. LeBron will be as close as anyone has got to Jordan but he doesn't have Jordan's ruthlessness.

LeBum is a serial choker. He needed the likes of Wade, Bosh and Davis to become relevant.

What about the hapless LeBum that got swept by the Mavs?

Jordan was a different level to LeBum. This modern era is pathetic, heck you get penalised for merely looking at another player.

LeBum is barely top 5.

Lebron is undoubtably a force, and winning titles with 3 different teams is a great achievement, as is dominating the league at 35. He is physically made to excel at the sport though at 6ft 9", yet powerful at the same time. No-one tops MJ in the modern era though, for sheer mix of ability and insane drive & determination. His repertoire of styles and shots was unmatched, plus crazy athleticism.

I agree with almost everything you said but to say best small forward “by a mile” is a tad disrespectful to Larry Bird in my opinion who at his peak was one of the best to ever do it. Doesn’t have the longevity of others which hurts his all time case but still...

Best small forward by miles? I guess you've never heard of Larry Bird. Probably both on about the same level. Scottie Pippen would be close behind because of his defence, even if not so gifted offensively.

That Cavs team was anything but poor with Kevin Love(who did struggle after a concussion) and Kyrie Irving.

Not 5 truly great players. 2 great players who were there for all 6 championships. Rodman came for the later 3. The others were supporting players. Some were good and made the odd all-star appearance(Grant, Armstrong), but most were roll players. But that was typical of the NBA back then. Players couldn't just pick which team to go to like nowadays.

LJ is the biggest cry baby I’ve ever seen play. Could you imagine if he had to play against the Pistons and take the beatings MJ did? Different game/era but MJ would excel in any era. LJ has so much protection from the refs/league in what has become a much softer game these days. In 20 years the biggest stars of the day will still be measured against MJ. That’s what makes him the GOAT.

Why do anti-Lebron people insist on making the worst arguments against him? MJ’s the GOAT but he was kicked around as he was a skinny 6”6 and had to bulk up to win. You think 6”9 250lb Lebron would’ve had the same issues? Lebron played the first 2 years of his career before the hand check was banned and dominated with arguably the best rookie season ever. He’s adapted to the times as all greats do

I expect the usual haters will be commenting on Bball with prejudice and without having studied it.

As a proper Yorkshire cricket fan I should be among them but the opposite is true.

Bball is the perfect match of skill, action and teamwork - it's a joy to play and if you've played ever you'll appreciate the skills and mentality, professionalism and tactics that make soccer look like hopscotch.

Politics have ALWAYS been a part of American Sports. Especially regarding RACE, with all major sports FORBIDDING African American athletes from even competing. For years no Black player was allowed to play on ANY mainstream professional sports team, nor any major college team. As a matter of fact IT WAS AGAINST THE LAW in most places to have racially mixed teams. So it's ALWAYS been political.

Politics have ALWAYS been a part of American Sports. Especially regarding RACE, with all major sports FORBIDDING African American athletes from even competing. Jordan may have been 6-0 in finals but he also had 7 seasons where he didn't make it to the finals. 3 seasons they went out in the first round. LBJ took a team of nobodies to the finals by his 4th season. Something Jordan couldn't manage on his own. Jordan needed Pippen and Grant before he could get things moving and also had Kerr, Rodman, Kukoc, probably the best support cast in NBA history.

Lebron until the last 2 years played in the weaker Eastern Conference, which would help him get to the finals. It is amazing how long the Eastern Conference has been weaker. In Jordan's day conferences were more even. Jordan just had a way of getting it done. Game 6 in 1998 was a prime example. 45 points after Pippen did his back in at the start and to steal the ball and score winning basket.

Why? In my view he's 2nd to Jordan, but a very clear 2nd. He just carries teams on his back and is the best small forward to great the sport by miles.

He's done a lot of it with some unremarkable sides as well - Davis is class and the Lakers overall are decent, but beating the GSW with the otherwise poor Cavs was absolutely insane.
