They say the table doesn't like and the fact is that Everon are better than Liverpool and have been for at least the last few weeks. Today's draw for Jurgen Klopp's side does little more than paper over the cracks in what appears to be a dire situation at Anfield. They are handing back the trophies one by one and soon all they will have to brag about is being champions of England... again!!

It wasn't a horrific tackle it was a foul. You seem to be judging how bad the tackle was by VVD being injured. Try watching a game from 40 years ago, you'd go catatonic within 5 mins with the tackles. We're now at the point where football is becoming non contact and the fans think every foul is a yellow or red.

Pitiful state of affairs really.

It wasn't even a marginal offside, that makes it worse, he was a good bit on, considering the line has to be towards mane shoulder not his elbow, as the elbow is irrelevant,
17/10/2020 14:32:37 3 1
bbc
Offside is offside, and it doesn't matter by how much.
One doesn't argue with the post when the ball hits one post, rolls along the goal line, hits the other and bounces out.
Marginal offside decisions are inevitable, don't blame the officials or the technology, as Austin would say "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man closer to the goal line than two opponents is offside"
17/10/2020 14:37:13 3 4
bbc
So was it offside? Yes it was, so VAR didn’t kill this game, it actually made sure the right result was made. Yes? The single biggest aspect of this game was the fact that it is the first game in living memory of most Everton fans, mine being 51 of 58 years that the Dark Side have had something to whinge about having just played us. I defy any cultist to list any other examples in that time.
17/10/2020 14:53:33 2 0

a marginal decision that was clearly onside. Assumed when replay - along with just about everyone else - that goal would stand. Whoever made that decision needs to explain how they came about it. Was it a fingernail this time?
Marginal offside is the same as vastly offside. Offside is offside

If you have to draw a series of lines and dots to determine if a single hair on a players arm might just be offside then it isn’t “clear and obvious”.

Take away all of the grid drawing and just look at a plain video replay. Is there enough evidence to suggest the referee on-field decision is incorrect?

But I am very happy with that Liverpool performance and it was a proper bounce back after the Villa hammering.

Hoping Van Dijk is not too serious and is back asap along with Allison. Also hoping Richarlison is banned for more than 3 games as that was assualt.

Robertson pushed off the ball, nearly injures himself in the resultant collision: No card.
Mane kicked in the stomach: Finally a card. Oh, wait - it was Mane that got booked, for pulling out of a challenge and being kicked in the stomach.
