Always liked both these teams ever since watching them play each other in a 1976 FA Cup Final classic. Southampton were winning 2-0 with a Bobby Stokes brace when Chelsea scored 2 goals in last 5 mins, only for Alan Sunderland to win it 3-2 for Southampton with injury time goal.

Great memories.

I think you're confusing the 1976 FA Cup final with the 1979 which was between Arsenal and Man Utd. Bobby Stokes scored the winner for Southampton and the only goal in the match in the 1976 one.

Chelsea will never be regarded as one of English football’s great sides until they are crowned Champions of Europe. Only Liverpool (6), Man Utd (3), Aston Villa (2), Nottm Forest (1) and Derby County (1) can stake such a claim.

Special mention too for Brian Clough as they only manager ever to win the European Cup with 2 different clubs (and both from the West Midlands)!

Chelsea really need to sort out their defence or they will not win the Premier League. Too many goals against them. Why does Frank Lampard stick with the same defence. Give Rudiger and Tomori a chance please they can't do any worse.

Typical pundit comment really, it is always the same. Chelsea attacking, they were brilliant but when Saints score, it's poor defending. What is was, was two excellent attacks and two poor defences. The difference was McCarthy, otherwise we'd have shipped more than three. Interesting that Merrington was blaming JWP and Romeu more than Bednarek and Vestergard for not picking up Havertz.
