@24. bpmkenton "Ah, Dyson, the pro Brexiter who relocated his business to Singapore and was one of the mouthpieces for an event that has costs us over 20,000 much-needed nurses. Yep, he's a real hero" An outright lie. Dyson designs all his products in the UK and built his own technical university. He moved out the UK in 2002 BECAUSE of EU red he said. EU has cost 30,000 nurses and other jobs

It's good to see the west tackling this crisis but what about its origins and preventing this from happening again? All my BBC HYS posts have been removed because I drew attention to this and this post will probably go too. China is responsible for this virus (due their animal husbandry standards) and should (1) pay reparations and (2) be forced (by sanction) to outlaw their 'wet markets'. Removed

Its typical of all the remainers that accused Boris of wanting to be a dictator and them insisting on taking measures that a dictator might take, but he only did it to protect the public with which those in the media, politics, law and academia barely rub shoulders with and particulaly not now and the sight of Jeremy Corbyn standing up for the self employed is laughable as well the old fool knows

I agree with the comments of 394. When we are through this nightmare the focus should be very much on the responsibility of China for this virus and suitable retribution exacted. For starters there should be a huge reduction of the amount of stuff we buy from China and we should concentrate on onshoring much of our manufacturing to create thousands of jobs in Great Britain. Anyone else read the article that say's this Government have backtracked already on the promise that no Landlord can evict tennents that can't pay their rent because they are now out of work. Landlords can now only give 3 months notice instead of the usual 2 months before this virus impacted everyone. Yet again those careing sharing Tories , sorting out the rich at the expense of the poor

@577: A Froffing Rejoiner is preferred to one that weeps In response to: "19 member states in the EU have a worse ranking National Health provision compared to UK" Actually 15, not 19 EU27 States are below us. Strange that you don't mention the 12 that are above us. Considering the UK was the 2nd/3rd largest economy in the EU, not exactly a stunning performance.

@606 A Froffing Rejoiner is preferred to one that weeps "you're concerning yourself with "Top of the ruddy Pops" " Well, last week, I seem to recall some people were concerning themselves with finding links in song lyrics and the COVID-19 outbreak. I guess things have moved forward a lot in seven days, and more of those people realise how serious this is.

@606 "A Froffing Rejoiner is preferred to one that weeps" You literally referred to ranking of other states in relation to UK - if that's not playing "Top of the ruddy Pops" I don't know what is! Your concern was anti-EU point scoring, not people's health. You even misreported the ranking and omitted the other part of the ranking that makes UK look bad to back up your agenda. Sad really.

625 The "Top of the ruddy pops" was a reference to a list of member states' health provision in order from best to worst not actual music. Is it about ventilators to deal with this major crisis we're facing, or boasting about how much I spent on my last vacuum cleaner? Just let Dyson get on with doing this. It is vital.

859 What sort of idiot are you? Covid has nothing to do with in or out of the EU. Out has allowed our gvmt to get on with actually ordering from British suppliers British made ventilators which we need NOW rather than sitting on an EU purchasing process which will doubtless take weeks or months. MANY UK manufacturers are rallying round to help our ventillator industry make more... good show Removed

860 The BBC removed my comment because it responded to the very offensive comment at 859 which they have left in place. The one left is antiBrexit, mine just pointed out that now we are out we have been able to act quicker than the EU in already ordering our extra ventilators. I guess the BBC are still as disgustingly biased as they always have been. Russia helping Italy, stil not reported here
