Waking up excited to see how my team, Camborne RFC will play that day. Meeting up with my friends on the way, discussing what might happen and walking through the gates to take up our usual seats. That is what I miss.

The fact it is completely trivial and yet it isn't. It's a break from the world for 90 minutes. There's enough bad things in the world at the best of times and we need some joy or at least distraction in our lives to get through it. Sport does just that.

Sport is about real life. Sport has more drama, colourful characters and twists than all the TV Soaps put together. To witness live, the skill, determination and never say die attitude of the participants is a life lesson in itself.

Let's be honest, professional sport does not really change our lifes. We can watch it or not, does not matter who wins or lose - our lifes have far more important problems that goals. games or points. But on personal level, we miss out on team sports with friends, training and amateur league games, socialising, banter.

Wait for the bashing of people and the BBC for missing sport. Its OK to miss and talk about sport, speculate when it might restart, a nice distraction from the horror. Having a plan for how sport can restart is something that they should be doing, it is not insensitive to do so. PL & EFL do not think they are bigger than nations health, they paused the season before being told to do so.

I think what’s clear (for most anyway) top level sport isn’t actually what matters to most of us. It’s an aside to what we truly enjoy and that’s the social side of it. Few beers, Saturday afternoon in the pub outside the ground or in the town centre watching the horse racing/scores come in.

Nothing really.Realising how little it means comparing to the greater and nobler things we are meant for. Such crisis can be a blessing in disguise as we come to realisation what really matters most in our life & how selfish, how self obsessed, how greedy we've become. Football is just vanity. The selfish "I ",the greedy and overpaid " them".It is about money, greed and tribalism.Sign of the times

Don't get much chance to spend much time with him in the week with work and my wife & kids, but going to the match on a Saturday afternoon with my dad is our 'quality time'. The sporting calendar you know exactly the time of year it by the big sporting event that wkd. Early April would mean Grand National & FA Cup Semis for instance. World Snooker mid April would begin in Sheffield. Every month would have it's sporting top bill events. The UKs sporting calendar was like the Nation's body clock.

The community of football (Newport County). Taking my daughter and her friend to the games. Walking to the ground, the anticipation, the banter, the smell from the burger stand, the turnstiles breaking down, going to away grounds, the elation, the disappointment, winning in the last minute, losing in the last minute. The certainty of it all. The football comes to a conclusion, then play offs and cup finals. Then there's the World Snooker, Augusta, Wimbledon. They're all reference points for life. 86@Arsenal - From Invincibles To Invisibles Slough are my long distance 4th friend behind Reading, Maidenhead and Hungerford. Just on a different note, when the Premier league is allowed to restart, the season has to be finished. Even if it runs over into next season. But for one year, shorten the 2020/21 season. Only relegate 2 teams this year but still have 3 come up from the Championship then they`ll be 21 teams for 1 year. Just play each other once. Each team has 10 home games and 10 Away. Just an idea.

87. Not a bad idea. One issue I see is determining the home and way fixtures that keeps everyone happy. Imagine the uproar from fans of Utd and City if they end up playing at Anfield.

Personally, I don't miss any of it but then I refuse to pay money to watch puffed up millionaires kick a ball about.

I’ll go with 89. I coach soccer and rugby under 12 level, and I’m glad there’s no footy on the tv- can’t stand the cheating and petulant players crying about decisions. I hope the clubs run out of cash and the players end up getting paid ‘real’ wages.

I don’t miss the football what so ever and I think the days of £200 million pound players has long gone now reality will really hit home now ??

Just the pure escape from "normal," the feeling that a fat bloke running with a ball under his arm is so important, when we really know it isn't, knowing the referee is an onanist, when the day before you were telling everyone you were pleased he was in charge.

Where's Big Sam? Is he self-isolating from one last managerial post, or is he really the handgel overlord?

Rugby , rugby & rugby & watching it down the pub with my mates whilst not having to discuss the pros & cons of the EU with anyone.

The away days on the bus with The Blazing Lambs @AberdeenFC. Pre-match pints, dodgy bovril. Rubbish analysis after the game. Wakening up the next day and trying to find the highlights of the game you were at and figuring out you got it wrong on most of the calls you were 100% correct at the game.
