It's sickening to see all the arguing and bickering on here, we need to stop think and be constructive or STFU, anything else is NOT HELPING, if anything it's making things harder. These are tough times for all of us, very, very tough, toughest most of us including myself have ever had to experience and hopefully ever will have too. Stick together and support people, it's going to get harder

DavidB@2195 ~ I presume this new service by volunteers for the vulnerable will be covered by the government, and free to users According to the reports, the 1.4 million most at risk will not have to pay for food parcels to start off with, but this could change as time goes on. Since the NHS already know who is or is not entitled, there won't be much room for fraud.

What happens when the media reports 24/7 on a virus? People panic, they panic buy, they do what humans throughout the millennia do, they try to hoard resources to save themselves. We can't blame people in a panic, we can't really shame them either because we think we are more rational. I'm pretty fed up with the BBC saying "underlying health conditions" like that means people were at deaths door. One example, i have hypertension. I've had it for 10 years, but i only KNOW i have it because i get regular checks because i have type 1 diabetes. I've never had ANY symptoms from the hypertension. It has no effect on my life whatsoever. "underlying conditions" can be very misleadiing.
