88. @Yeahbaby 'I'd be motivated too on those wages. Give me a Reliant Robin to race in no bother ' _____ I'd race for Mercedes on minimum wage...! I'd race for Toto on U.C. and no tea breaks...!! Fcuk it, I'll race for Mercedes for FREE, 'for crying out loud'...!!!

I'm hoping to see some exciting racing this season but after reading that article Mercedes seem unbeatable before they've even put a tyre on the race track.

@56 sgt pepper Crikey!! Does he really get £60m a year? Earth must seem like a different planet to some, not that I blame him for taking what’s being offered though.

I really hope Max or Charles win it this year. Its not that I dont like or rate Lewis, He is absolutely top drawer.. I just think its long overdue someone elses turn. We just need Red Bull or Ferrari to build a better car than Merc.. BUT.. Is Albon good enough to play the wingman for Max? Would Seb be willing to play the wingman for Charles? I think that is where it could fall apart for them.

210 @Paulo 'Would Seb be willing to play the wingman for Charles?' _____ Well, if they're cunning enough, that could work for them. They'd keep Mercedes guessing who to put their money on. I think that worked for Kimi & Felipe back in 2007?

I've enjoyed watching Lewis from day 1. A true competitor, incredibly fast & aggressive while making minimal mistakes. He was competitive from his debut and I'm sure he will be until the day comes to retire. Moreover he seems to be getting better! There's not a more complete driver out there. His consistency is what really sets him apart from his rivals. And that is what wins Championships.

273 @Anthony 'He was competitive from his debut and I'm sure he will be until the day comes to retire.' _____ Me too... I've enjoyed Lewis race since his debut. I'd say his mindset and growth as a driver and an individual has truly been incredible. If Alonso hadn't been his team mate in 2007, he'd have won in his debut season... Still, we're watching being made, let's enjoy his feats.

@280 Quak Completely agree with you. To be honest I don't think the mighty Alonso knew what hit him on Lewis's debut season. Looking at Le Clerc, Vettel, Max etc they just make too many mistakes. I'm not denying they're fast but over the course of an entire season I'd back Lewis as he very rarely has a bad race or rush of blood.

Watch out for in the 2020 F1 season is that it wil be the MAKE or BREAK season for the "once great" Williams team which finished last in 2019. In particular Claire Williams, the daughter of founding owner Frank Williams who earned the team multiple world championdhips in previous years, should reconsider her position as team principal if Williams finishes last again in 2020 two years in a row.

I think Suze Woolf's career might have gone a bit further if Claire Williams really had any weight in the team.

@294. & @292. Quack I disagree with you assertion. Claire Williams is a capable business leader but Formula 1 has claimed the scalps of many exceptional F1 team bosses. Great teams with great history should not be langhishing at the bottom - checkout McLaren ditching team bosses. Coming last twice end of season should be the end of Claire Wiiliams F1 team boss career in 2020.
